Neon

Although i adore black and white, i find the appeal of neon colours invigorating. So fresh and modernistic, i aim to explore this further through photographic methods and hope to progress into some typographic work.

Agree about neon… It can also be a vehicle for something quite moving. Tracey Emin’s huge neon piece at the Venice biennale made me cry .. it took up a whole wall and the text went: “you put your hand over my mouth, but still the noise continues, every part of my body is screaming smashed into a thousand million pieces each one belonging to you.” The contrast of the pink neon with the pain in the text was what did it…

Thank you - it is very refreshing adding an almost surreal atmosphere. I’ll be sure to check that piece of work out by Tracey Emin, sounds invigorating - an amazing artist.
