Work in progress* has been a bit quiet lately. But, in the background I have been planning the big move to Leith in Edinburgh after been offered an exciting new job opportunity at Threebrand. Based on The Shore in a quirky boat, 1502U is homed to a creative branding agency, my new workplace, what more character can you possible ask for (post photos soon).

With the new job and relocation to Edinburgh, my portfolio site is in the middle of being set to a large reel for the many captures! Sarah goes North will soon be a place share all my new finds from the beautiful City whilst traveling around on a rickety old bike (let’s say it has some character!).

Beautiful type finds, edging towards the more futuristic. Priced at about £6 each via Ten Dollar Fonts.

Inspired by the ancient Phoenician alphabet here is FONECIAN designed by Rosalind Stoughton – very clean, futuristic display typeface.

A sweet font RATHE DELUXE designed by Daniel McQueen – simple abstract forms create great shapes and spaces.

TIKAL is another super font designed by Richard de Ruijter – inspired by ancient South American cultures. Really love this, such strong characters.

Inspired by Kim Høltermand, captured last night down at the Whitehaven Marina and today featured on Flickr Explore. The lighting was perfect, the clouds were glowing from the sunset creating a perfect reflection on the still water.

Yesterday was spent at the charming dock of Leith in Edinburgh. Although it was raining most of the day, by sunset the shadows cast long over the cobbles. Below, I managed to capture a few shots on my Leica.

Dana is a graphic designer who creates captivating chalk signs—she’s created pieces for magazines, book covers, hotels. Certainly worth bookmarking her portfolio, rustic pieces of art, such a shame the design is rubbed away!
