Choral Society

Today Alan Cleaver had organised an outing for the Snappers – we had a fantastic opportunity to take pictures of The West Cumberland Choral Society in their rehearsal for a concert going to be held later that evening. Not only was this a great opportunity to capture the essence of musical artistry, but also, for myself, it was a chance to look round St. James Church. A chance to sense the history, prays and beliefs those walls have held over the years.

Having low lighting was testing at times – but after a few shots and great advice from Horrgakx, i did manage to capture some soft shots. I will be uploading all images to my flickr account over the upcoming week.

UPDATE: 21st March ’08

Bill Strain contacted me regarding my Choral Society photography set, he is a fan of the Rembrandtish Images.

“My wife is a Methodist pastor and I am always on the lookout for photographs that will promote the visual image of the church…Thanks so much for the use of these Rembrandtish images of yours. They are magnificent.” Bill Strain

So i’m looking forward to selected images appearing on the St. Paul’s United Methodist Church website (Texas).
