Anti-Love

Below is the Anti-Love final spreads. You may notice the ‘Love’ spread - i created this and two other pieces for bedroom canvases - i thought it was quite apt for this project in that it’s electrifying love - obsessive love.

I’ve submitted more than i need to for the project, but now Thom can chose between them. I’ve really enjoyed this project - for all those who know me you can imagine how much work i’ve produced behind the scenes. Looking forward to creating work for the next issue of ANTI.

When we have the zine printed it will be available, but i’ll keep you posted here.

ANTI

The Zine collaboration has hit it’s first hurdle. A fellow artist, Omar, found that there is already a magazine called anti everything which has had a blog since November. Silly as it sounds, this should of been the first protocol, checking that the name was not already in use. So we’ve been contemplating a new name. Myself and Omar think that the Zine should just be named ANTI (adding a keyword/theme to every issue), therefore with each issue the name could be adapted as appropriate, the first being ANTI-LOVE. This should be quite easy to achieve with the logo as a sticker placed on the cover.

The A5 format should still involve typography experiments, illustrations and collages and presented fully in Black & White.

The founder is Thom and the contributors are Omar, Sam and myself.

Zine: Anti Everything

Thomas Bird contacted me along with other artists to contribute to his Zine.

‘The brief for this issue is pretty simple everything must be done in black and white (so i can photocopy everything) each person will do 6 pages of whatever they want, short stories, illustrations, images, anything, pages must be A5 size. The theme is anti love.’ Thomas Bird

Very exciting new project, here is a sneaky preview, an initial spread.
