Printed via PhotoBox

Well, I have a fond love of Ampersands as most of my readers will know. So I decided to create myself a mug with an Ampersand with the typeface revealed on the reverse. I am aiming to do a series covering the Adobe fonts.
This is a sneaky preview of the design. Hopefully tomorrow, when it is much brighter (here is hoping!) I have set up some natural elements to photograph the final product shot; I will upload the new images to this post when complete.

Following my self-initiated piece, Fault magazine have invited me to create two titles.
Using some out of date ginger i put together this piece; the initial for the title The Redwalls.
The other design will be uploaded soon.

The process of being ‘everywhere at once’ sums up the many roles of a graphic designer. My latest self-initiated concept is to create a typeface, or is it typehand, by photographic methods, the typography becomes hand rendered.

I came across this old competition brief - so i decided to have a go:
CMI Logo Design Competition
“New Mexico State University’s Creative Media Institute (CMI) wants you to participate in designing its future. Here is where you come in: this creative institution will soon be printing t-shirts, letter head, business cards, updating their website and sending out memos with their new brand. It needs a piece of identity ware to go with its name: CMI wants a logo.”

Playing with word phrases, I created an A3 piece. This is an initial drawing and will be developed further, adding more illustration. I’d like to incorporate the glowing effects shown on previous posts.

Art Book
With the success of Cut & Paste through copy methods, I created an art book of work relating to cultural and social current identity issues.

Cloning, genetical modifications and cosmetics.
Disturbing as it may, as a society we blame everyone but ourselves for the condition of our own lives. Watching a documentary, BodyShock: The World’s Biggest Boy, it was such an astonishing and engrossing real-life story that the impact has drove this idea.
“At just seven years old Dzhambulat Khatokhov – Jambik for short – is four feet three inches tall and weighs 16 stone: as much as a baby elephant.”

Ambient

Playing with the phrase, “colour your future,” I decided that ‘hello colour” would be quite interesting to see as ambient media. For example, as it’s for the area of Carlisle, the piece could be placed on Carlisle’s public transport. The background would be transparent; the type itself could be white or black, depending on the media with the introduction of colour.
