Unpredictable Graphics

To further post my Ink exploration ::
These illustrations/graphics were made purely through Ink explosions within a bowl of water, the only addition is the eyes and brightness, contrast manipulation.

The haziness adds to the images, creating a further fabrication of fantasy.

Call me flower…

I have a great love for anything to do with nature, drawing and observing. This piece was created with mixed media: charcoal, Quink ink and a fine liner.

Changing faces of Portraits

Today I played with the idea of portraits and how the technique of the old traditions could be modified; incorporating photography and sketch techniques to create an illustrative piece. The word AWAY was added as Basketball was in mind, but instead, the portrait could contain their name.

The type could do with a some black taken away, and a lot of re-adjustment. I focused more on the portrait itself, added the type last, will come back to this and re-post changes.

CUT & PASTE

Scanning through a magazine I came across this typeface. My business cards are very image orientated, so today I decided it was time for change. I always see gorgeous type and never get the chance to use it, so here you have it, I have used some gorgeous type through CUT & PASTE and here is the result. Having seen the type on it’s own and with an image, there is much more impact with just the simplicity of type, therefore if I was to pursue this further it would be with printing processes and colouring.

It was love at first sight…

These prints were produced for bedroom canvases. Experimenting with quink ink and its wonderful unpredictability, the ink was added over a LOVE, ADORE and DESIRE template, then blew out to create ink branches.
