Well, I have a fond love of Ampersands as most of my readers will know. So I decided to create myself a mug with an Ampersand with the typeface revealed on the reverse. I am aiming to do a series covering the Adobe fonts.

This is a sneaky preview of the design. Hopefully tomorrow, when it is much brighter (here is hoping!) I have set up some natural elements to photograph the final product shot; I will upload the new images to this post when complete.

Today Marker uploaded some of their most recent projects to the creative network Behance. Their website is currently being designed so watch this space for any exciting new updates!

Here is a small taste of what they have to offer:

Fine food, produced naturally, is the ethos of Cowran Estate, a local producer.
The typographic treatment really compliments the delicate illustration.

Marker are currently advertising for a Creative Director.

I spent a couple of hours today mocking up an idea for a docking station using dimensional typography.

The next step is to ensure theres enough room to incorporate the speakers and the iPod/MP3 itself. Could the player be tucked within one of the letter forms…? Still only a rough concept, but i feel there is so much scope.

Within this design - to correct the design from the product point of view, i could make the ‘es’ join and lower the ’s’ giving adequate room for the second speaker.

Having done some research on speakers, i came across this design by Nokia for the XpressMusic Phone. I can see that creating the actualt letter forms as the speakers would work - imagine the shape here could be an ‘A’ or a ‘V.’

Very pleased with this find, still researching further and looking at other possibilities with the actual wording:
