An ‘Oddinary’ Book

Lucius Young mailed me over the ‘An Oddinary ExhibitioneBook earlier today. It was a pleasure to be apart of this project, here is one of the spreads which featured my ‘BOX’ concept.

For more information on the project please see the ‘An Oddinary Exhibition post.’

Special thanks to Lucius Young and to the rest of the ‘Oddinary’ Team!

***Do you have a freelance Proposal

From recent communication experience with freelance projects, i have created a specification document. My aim is to encourage stronger more fluid communication between myself (the creative) and the all important client.

Details

Although i do love the clean vector typography, there is just something so seductive about intricately detailed fonts. Poesie_Noire is a great example of this seduction, in this example i used the typeface as typography and as an image, creating outlines to add to the visual texture. This was a piece i created for a cosmetic surgery statistic project at University, and updated today as a single piece of art work.

Modify

Many graphic design vacancies, as well as requesting a resume, ask for a PDF Porfolio, creating this was going to be inevitable. Now i have the main structure, it’s time to tweak and modify (and take out those nasty hyphens).

The reel is an interesting concept, but i’m still unsure as to whether or not it is successful. On the other hand working with InDesign enables a selection of interactive components when exported as a PDF. With this in mind, to be user friendly, clear navigation would give ease of use. I don’t want to go too far with the PDF as this is a work sampler.
