Whitehaven Carnival 2008

Dancing their way around the town, this years carnival was very energetic, the children taking part put on a wonderful show. Proud parents, i think so:

Below are my first entries for the Creative Cumbria Local Exchange Project. The entries were influence by the beautiful scenic landscape of Cumbria and the lake district.

Having a fond love of typography, I made an attempt at designing the logotype for the collaboration project myself and 14 other creatives are involved in, Creative Cumbria. All the creatives have the opportunity to add their own design for the project identity, this will help immensely with the projects self-promotion and for approaching exhibitors and venues.
The traditional newspaper headline meets a modern hand-rendered swash.

Creative Cumbria has now gone live.
What is Creative Cumbria?
We are a group of local creatives, planning a collaboration project that will span over the summer to hopefully be available to exhibit at the end of ‘08 or early ‘09. Creatives will be inspired by Cumbria itself.
