TRANSIENT ARTIST
-
Brief Bio:
Born 1956 and now living in Dumfriesshire in Scotland, Goldsworthy works directly with nature, using a variety of materials including twigs, leaves, stones and even snow. The British sculptor uses photography and video to capture his transient works presenting the process of time documented through his wonderful creations. He uses natures tools, colouring the landscape with intriguing displays, some of which can only be appreciated through his own documentation.
Since my time studying at Sixth Form, I have followed Goldworthy’s work and even to this present day i am still as exhilarated by his work as i was back then. Having visited Grizedale Forest Park and been in contact with ‘The wall that went for a walk,’ it was breath-taking to be stood in front of an extraordinary piece of transient art.
Where ever possible i try to introduce this idea of collaborating with nature, as you have maybe noticed from my Kern and Ampersand pieces.
