My Life on Paper

Being a new Twitter user, I have decided to take a more graphical approach to the world of updates and fast moving technology! I hope to create a small printed blurb book from all the things that I see, hear or think…should be interesting to see it all unfold.

Summer is on its way

This weekend I have been focusing on my photography. There are so many wonderful shots out there and most of which are by enthusiastic amateurs. Yesterday, through much experimentation, I feel I have found a new direction and photographic style to pursue - shooting in RAW has opened so many new doors!

I am now even more eager to learn all I can before my sisters wedding in September!

A Different View Point

Every month the Whitehaven Snappers runs a photographic competition. So today I have been out and about with my camera!

Looking at our pictures I see a common ‘error’ - too many pictures taken from 5ft 10ins above the ground! And that includes most of my pictures! We all know we should think about different angles - but we all forget to do it. So get down on the ground or on a step ladder and submit no more than two pictures for this month’s competition: A different view point.

Whitehaven Snappers - open to any photographers living in the Copeland area or anyone taking photos of this north-western part of England. Some of the best photos will appear in The Whitehaven News when space permits!

The flickr group is run by deputy editor of The Whitehaven News, Alan Cleaver.

Our little Pup

Toby is now 9 months old, the time has just disappeared amongst the midst of work and everyday toing and froing.

When he is good we call him Tobs, when intelligent he is Mr. Toby and when naughty he is TOBY (with an extended hold on OBY).

Just thought I would share our little gem.

The Two of Hearts

Today, my moleskine has finally been broken in! I made time to create a little something for Amelia’s - Earth Open Brief.
