BEHIND THE SCENES

Today i have spent some time creating a little something for Fault magazine to send into their editors. I am half way through the design, below is a tiny snippet of my progress today:

TRANSIENT ARTIST
-
Brief Bio:
Born 1956 and now living in Dumfriesshire in Scotland, Goldsworthy works directly with nature, using a variety of materials including twigs, leaves, stones and even snow. The British sculptor uses photography and video to capture his transient works presenting the process of time documented through his wonderful creations. He uses natures tools, colouring the landscape with intriguing displays, some of which can only be appreciated through his own documentation.
Since my time studying at Sixth Form, I have followed Goldworthy’s work and even to this present day i am still as exhilarated by his work as i was back then. Having visited Grizedale Forest Park and been in contact with ‘The wall that went for a walk,’ it was breath-taking to be stood in front of an extraordinary piece of transient art.
Where ever possible i try to introduce this idea of collaborating with nature, as you have maybe noticed from my Kern and Ampersand pieces.

“Will work for a fffound invite” is a poster by designer Morten Iveland. It is now becoming apparent graphic designers are having to advertise themselves to get onto creative networks - brilliant poster and stunning typography. Again, a handcrafted feel, very effective.
Also Morten’s web typography is beautiful and portfolio, so please visit his website.
I have added it to my FFFFOUND Morten!

Certainly not Tacky! K is for Calligraphy is by far the best handmade artist i have seen in sometime. Her work is so homely and wonderfully crafted, such a unique approach to ordinary objects. Katy, the K in Calligraphy, has some superb work, i would suggest bookmarking either her flickr page or her website - full of inspirational work and all with a handmade twist!

Yes, it is true!

A partnership made in heaven; a tote bag with a gorgeous letter form!
I came across the link via iLT.
I adore tote bags, i bought 3 over the summer. So having seen these designs encouraged me to search for a blank tote bag to carry out a little creation of my very own and today i stumbled across an excellent buy from FactoryDirectCraft.com. Maybe i will get chance to create a little something soon…
